Our Stronghold Master Collection Foam Swords are made from durable Epic Foam specially formulated for soft hitting, safe combat. The main core consists of an oval fibreglass rod coated and has a protective tube tip, making these LARP Swords safe for stabbing. Our near-indestructible foam is then injected over the rod, fusing the blade securely in place. We are constantly working hard to develop the greatest larp sword and we are thrilled to reveal to you a Low maintenance foam sword that will put up with virtually any intense larp battle.
Simply apply a thin coat of Silicone Lubricant to help prevent friction and maintain the amazing painted finish. Since the foam is nearly indestructible, the silicone just serves to help the blade maintain its lustre and colour.
Cleaning & Inspection:
When you tend to your foam weapon it means that you both care for it and the safety of others. We like to say, pretend that your sword is real and you want to keep it as sharp as you can between each battle.
Wipe the surface of the weapon down using a damp rag or sponge to remove dust and mud, grease or oils that can harm the foam.
Apply a small amount of our 100% silicone on any surface of the blade then wipe it evenly over the entire surface using a thin, dry cotton cloth. We recommend that you do so outdoors to avoid overspray on your floors or furniture.
These preventive methods serve two purposes. The first is maintenance and the second allows you to visibly and physically inspect your weapons before combat.
Prevent Doing The Following:
- Avoid touching your foam weapon if you are using bug spray containing the ''DEET'' Chemical. Deet dissolves and chemically changes the composition of the latex paint. This process is irreversible and deteriorates the finish.
- Do not apply any oils or chemicals other than our 100% silicone on your foam sword. Most products sold in spray cans contain a compound to prevent the blocking of the nozzle. This chemical will damage the surface over time.
- Never store the weapon on its tip or under any LARP equipment.
